This drill is called ‘Backboard Taps’. We’re going to drive with our shoulders parallel to the baseline and use our arms to get up in the air. Tap the ball early on the glass, keep hands loaded in air, and put the ball in on the other side of the backboard..We can do this by tapping on one or both sides of the glass (Double Backboard Taps).

Take the ball up on the rise and get it to the backboard before we reach the peak of our jump. Move our hands quickly and stay prepared in the air to execute the shot on the way down.

The last step in any sequence before we jump off the floor is going to be our hardest, fastest, and most powerful step. Same is true for our last dribble. Get the ball in your hands early and use your arms to help us elevate.
